Team — Big news: in two weeks Fit Foodie Finds turns five years old. Five years is a milestone — a half decade of recipes, workouts, product discoveries and community. I still wake up every day grateful that I get to do what I love and share it with you.
Rather than letting the anniversary slip by quietly, Lin and I decided to celebrate. We’re throwing a little birthday happy hour and we’d love for you to join us.

Party Details
One of my favorite fitness studios in the North Loop, Alchemy, is graciously hosting our celebration. We’re planning a relaxed happy hour where you can meet the team, enjoy a drink or two, and connect with other readers and local fitness lovers.
What: Birthday happy hour for Fit Foodie Finds hosted by Team Fit Foodie and Alchemy. Wine, beer, and light appetizers will be provided. Bring good company and a smile. Just by stopping by you’ll be entered for a chance to win a private group party at Alchemy. If you RSVP to the event on Facebook you’ll also qualify for a complimentary week at Alchemy.
When: Friday, November 6th, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where: Alchemy (North Loop fitness studio)
If you think you might attend, please RSVP on the Facebook event so we can plan headcount and refreshments accordingly. I’m genuinely excited to celebrate five years of Fit Foodie Finds with the people who read, support, and inspire this site.
Stitch Fix Review — November Box
Before I sign off, I wanted to share the Stitch Fix box I recently received. I kept two of the five items and returned the rest. I always appreciate how convenient Stitch Fix is — you can request particular styles or pieces, which makes getting ready for the season a lot easier.
En Creme Asana Back Detail Sweater (S) – $58.00
I love the silhouette of this black sweater. It pairs perfectly with leggings and boots for a casual fall look. The back detail is airy and gives a little edge to a simple outfit. The fabric wasn’t as soft as I prefer, but the fit and styling potential made me keep it.

Pixley Kaity Open Cardigan (S) – $78.00
This open cardigan is very soft and embodies fall layering. It’s an easy piece to throw on over a tee or v‑neck with leggings for a cozy, put-together look. The material and drape felt very wearable for cooler days.

Look by M Della Tartan Plaid Scarf – $34.00
I’m a big scarf person, and this tartan plaid scarf was especially soft. Scarves are my go-to fall accessory and this one added a classic touch to several outfits. It felt unique compared with pieces I already own, so I kept it.

Papermoon Garland Keyhole Halter Blouse (S) – $44.00
The fabric and color of this halter tank were nice, but the high neckline and cut didn’t suit my proportions. It’s a lovely piece — it just didn’t feel like the right fit for my wardrobe, especially when considering what I wear under tops for workouts and everyday life.

Crescent Linder Split Neck Top (S) – $58.00
This top was just okay. The bright green color wasn’t my favorite, and the fabric arrived very wrinkled. The fit didn’t excite me enough to keep it.

In the end, I kept the black back‑detail sweater and the tartan scarf. The other pieces got sent back. My next Stitch Fix request will include dresses for upcoming holiday parties — I like that you can specify requests. It makes seasonal shopping easier and helps me find pieces that work with my lifestyle, workouts, and casual wardrobe.
Thanks for being part of this journey. If you can make the happy hour, it would mean a lot to celebrate five years with you. Whether you’re local or following along online, I appreciate your support, feedback, and ideas that keep Fit Foodie Finds growing and evolving.
