All About Blended Baked Oats

Ingredients You’ll Need

The base ingredients are pantry staples you likely already have. Combine these with the flavor-specific additions to make Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, or Banana Berry blended baked oats. You can also prepare all three at once to share or enjoy throughout the week.

For the Base Recipe

  • Rolled oats
  • Unsweetened plain almond milk (or another plant or dairy milk)
  • Egg
  • Baking powder

For Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Flavor

This version tastes like cookie dough but is made with simple, familiar ingredients for a balanced start to the day.

  • Base ingredients
  • Peanut butter
  • Maple syrup
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Vanilla extract

For Chocolate Chocolate Chip Flavor

Rich and dessert-like, this chocolate version adds cocoa and chips to the base for a decadent morning treat.

  • Base ingredients
  • Cocoa powder
  • Extra almond milk if needed for consistency
  • Mini chocolate chips

For Banana Berry Flavor

Bright and fruity, banana and blueberries add natural sweetness and great texture to the blended oats.

  • Base ingredients
  • Mashed banana
  • Honey or another sweetener
  • Blueberries

Tools You’ll Need

You don’t need specialized equipment. A blender to puree the oats, small oven-safe dishes (like 8-oz ramekins) or mugs, and a standard oven are all that’s required.

Recipe Tips

  • Gather everything first: Make sure you have all ingredients for your chosen flavor before starting so the process is smooth.
  • What to bake them in: Ramekins work great, but any small oven-safe container will do—Weck jars, coffee mugs, Pyrex measuring cups, or a muffin tin (adjust baking time) are fine.
  • Oat options: Rolled oats or quick-cooking oats both work since you’ll be blending them before baking.
  • Meal prep friendly: These are excellent for meal prep. Refrigerate for up to five days or freeze for up to three months; thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
