Welcome to the Fit Foodie Cooking Club — a friendly, active space where the Fit Foodie community cooks the same homemade recipe together every month. Whether you’re an experienced home cook or just learning to make meals from scratch, this club is designed to inspire real-food cooking, build skills, and celebrate the joy of sharing food with others.

What is the Fit Foodie Cooking Club?
The Fit Foodie Cooking Club is a monthly cooking challenge created to get our community into the kitchen and cooking from scratch. Each month we select a single recipe for the whole community to prepare. The aim is to celebrate simple, wholesome ingredients and to share the variety of ways people adapt and enjoy the same recipe.
Participating is easy: follow the recipe of the month, make it at home, photograph your result, and share your experience. The process encourages learning through practice, inspires new flavor ideas, and connects members through shared food experiences.
How it Works
On the first Monday of each month, we publish the recipe of the month in a blog post and send it out by e-mail. You’ll have roughly three weeks to prepare the dish, take a photo, and submit your entry on that recipe’s post.
To enter the monthly challenge:
- Cook the recipe and take a clear photo of your finished dish.
- Post a comment on the recipe’s blog post with your photo, a short note on how it went, and your name and email so we can contact winners. A star rating is welcome but not required.
The monthly winner will be chosen and announced on the last Wednesday of the month via the blog and social media. Submission photos and comments help create a gallery of real people making the recipe, which is one of the most rewarding parts of the club.
hashtag with us!
Share your photos on social media with the hashtag #FitFoodieCookingClub and tag @FitFoodieFinds to be featured on the Fit Foodie Finds Instagram during the month. Tagging helps us spot and celebrate your efforts and invites others to join the challenge.
What’s the Prize?
Each month we randomly select two winners from the eligible entries. Each of the two winners receives a $100 Target gift card. Occasionally we include bonus prizes during special months or collaborations — these will be announced when applicable.
Winning is a fun bonus, but the greatest value for most members is learning, trying new flavors, and connecting with others who love cooking and eating well.
Charity Match
We also give back. Each month we pick a charity to receive a matching donation of $200. That charity is announced in the month’s Fit Foodie Cooking Club blog post and e-mail. If you have a charity in mind that aligns with our mission and values, please share your suggestion via the charity submission link in the announcement post.
Supporting causes that promote food accessibility, nutrition education, or community wellness is part of how the club connects our cooking community to broader social good.

Fit Foodie Cooking Club: January 2021
If you’re new to the club, start with the current recipe and read the comments on the recipe post to see tips from others. If you’re a repeat participant, consider experimenting with a substitution or plating style and share what you learned — those notes are especially helpful to other cooks.
Tips for best results: read the recipe through before starting, gather ingredients and tools ahead of time, take a few photos in natural light if possible, and include any tweaks you made in your comment so others can learn from your approach.
We look forward to seeing your creations, hearing about your successes and lessons learned, and building a stronger, more connected community of home cooks. Join us each month for a new challenge and celebrate the simple joy of making real food together.
