Hi friends! The last couple of weeks have been absolutely packed. I’ve been nonstop—traveling, teaching, and working on projects—so it’s felt like I’m moving constantly without always checking items off my to-do list. This past weekend I participated in two inspiring events around the Twin Cities: one hosted by Lindsey from Nourish Move Love in collaboration with The Her Initiative, and another in partnership with Lululemon St. Paul. With more travel on the horizon, I’ve been focused on getting organized and making the most of the busy weeks ahead.
Lululemon Ambassador!
I’ve loved Lululemon ever since I started teaching group fitness in 2012. If you peek into my closet, you’ll see a lot of Lulu gear—practical, flattering, and well-made pieces that I reach for both in and out of the studio. Their fit works for me, the fabrics are high quality, and I really admire the store communities and how they develop their teams.
So I was thrilled and genuinely surprised when Team Lululemon Twin Cities invited me to join their ambassador team. They surprised me at a Vision and Goals event at the St. Paul store with a sweet Fit Foodie sign and donuts—and I was completely taken aback. I’m excited to share more details as they become available and to represent a brand I’ve worn and supported for years.
Man Candy
On the personal side, I’m happy to share that I’m dating again—and it feels amazing. If you follow Fit Foodie Finds on Snapchat, you may have noticed more trips to Milwaukee lately. That’s because I’ve reconnected with my best friend from high school, Mark. We were close friends during high school, and though we never dated back then, we reconnected this year and decided to give a relationship a chance. It’s been an unexpected and wonderful turn of events.

Here’s the short story: we were good friends in high school, hung out a lot, and shared many goofy moments—sports, bowling, and more. I realized I had stronger feelings before college, but we chose different universities and didn’t pursue a relationship then. Over the years, both of us were in long-term relationships, so the timing didn’t align. This summer life brought us back together, and after several visits and lots of conversations, we decided to move forward as a couple.
Long distance is a challenge, but it’s been manageable. Minneapolis and Milwaukee are about five hours by car and a short flight away, which makes visits doable. I’m fortunate that much of my work is portable, so I can travel to see him without disrupting my career and projects too much.
For a little nostalgia: here’s a photo of us from the summer before I left for college—proof that we were pretty cute in high school!

Recipe Video
Team Fit Foodie is branching into video, and I couldn’t be more excited. Video content clearly engages people—personally, I find myself stopping to watch cooking and decorating tutorials all the time. Bringing recipes to life on screen requires planning, patience, and teamwork, but it’s a format that suits our audience and helps recipes reach more people.
A few weekends ago we filmed our first four recipe videos. The first recipe video, featuring peanut butter banana overnight oats, went live recently, and the second one is scheduled to be published soon. Producing video is a new creative challenge and one we’re eager to explore more.
26!!!
I’m turning 26 on Sunday, and this past year has brought a lot of change and growth. I celebrated a little early with friends at Surly Brewing Co. to enjoy the first warm, sunny patio day of the season. My younger brother shares the same birthday (we’re four years apart), so it was extra fun to celebrate together—he’s a big beer fan, which made Surly the perfect spot.

Upcoming Travel
The next month is full of travel, and while it’s hectic, I thrive on a busy schedule: intensive work stretches followed by time to relax and reconnect. Here’s where I’ll be over the coming weeks.
This weekend: Milwaukee. I’m visiting Mark, and Linley surprised me by joining—what a birthday treat. I’m looking forward to spending time with two of my favorite people and celebrating my birthday weekend.
April 21–24: Grand Rapids, Michigan. I’ll be attending my first blogger retreat. I’m excited to meet online friends in person and connect with the blogging community at the #FreshCoastRetreat.
April 28 – May 2: Toronto. Linley and I are heading to Toronto for a long weekend to visit Vids and celebrate a fun avocado-themed event. It sounds like a lovely trip and a great chance to catch up with friends.

Wishing you a happy weekend—thanks for following along on this busy season of events, video projects, travel, and new relationships. I’ll share updates as things progress!
