Happy Wednesday, friends! Monique and I are back with the final workout from our Body Sculpt Series we filmed on a recent Princess Cruise. This workout was my favorite—and also the toughest—of the four. Excluding your warm-up and cool-down, the circuit runs about 30 minutes. All you need is a single dumbbell (I used an 8-pound weight), plenty of water, and a little determination. You can do it in the gym, at home, or while traveling.
Got 30 minutes? Go hard for a half hour with this full-body circuit that blends lower-body strength, upper-body moves, and cardio so you’ll feel the burn the next day.

Full-Body Slimmer (Body Sculpt Series) — 30-Minute Full-Body Workout
How the workout works: Perform each exercise 16 times in succession with no breaks between moves. After you complete the full circuit, rest for 30 seconds, then repeat the circuit with descending reps: 14, 12, 10, 8, and 6. This descending rep scheme keeps intensity high while allowing you to move with purpose and control.
Warm-up suggestion: 5–7 minutes of dynamic movement—light jogging or marching in place, arm circles, hip openers, and bodyweight squats. Finish with a few mobility drills for the hips and shoulders.
Cross Body Snatch: Stand with feet hip-width apart and hold the dumbbell in your right hand. Keep your chest lifted and shoulders back. Lower into a squat and gently tap the dumbbell to the ground. Explode back up into a standing position, driving the dumbbell up into a shoulder press. Focus on a smooth, powerful hip drive. Complete 16 reps on the right side, then 16 on the left for each round.
Sumo Squats: Take a wide stance with toes pointing slightly outward. Hold the dumbbell between your legs. Keep your chest lifted and shoulders back. Inhale as you lower, tapping the dumbbell on the floor, then exhale as you push through your heels and rise, squeezing your glutes at the top. Maintain tension in the legs and core.
Punches: Begin in a scissor stance with the weight in your right hand and both hands near your chest. Inhale and punch with your left hand, then exhale as you punch with your right. Keep your core engaged and movements tight—this is a controlled cardio move that challenges your stability and shoulder endurance. Perform 16 punches per side each round.
Iron Jumps: Stand with feet hip-width apart, lower into a squat with chest lifted and shoulders back. Lightly tap the floor with your fingers, then explosively jump up, bringing your heels toward your glutes before landing softly back into the squat. Focus on a soft landing and keeping tension in the legs throughout.
Cool-down and stretching: Spend 5–7 minutes doing gentle yoga-style stretches: hamstring stretch, quad stretch, chest opener, and a few deep breathing exercises to lower your heart rate. Hydrate and allow your body to recover.
Modifications and tips: If you’re a beginner, reduce reps or use a lighter weight. For more challenge, increase the dumbbell weight, add a second dumbbell where safe, or shorten the rest between circuits. Always prioritize form over speed and listen to your body—if a move causes sharp pain, stop and choose a safer alternative.

Switching gears: it’s fun to look back on vacation photos and see myself in outfits beyond workout gear. I found some great pieces on the trip and wanted to share where I grabbed each one. It also shows my love for rompers, high-waisted skirts, and yes—Target. I find their pieces easy to mix and style for travel.
The cabin wardrobe on the ship was varied—some guests dressed up, others kept it casual. I liked the variety because it meant I could go dressy one night and relaxed the next. When I do dressier looks, comfort is still key: I love high-waisted skirts and outfits that feel like pajamas. Wearing a supportive sports bra under a top helps me feel confident yet comfortable for an evening out.

Dinner Outfit Ideas
1. Don’t Be Basic Tank – Target | Black lace skirt – Maison Jules (Macy’s) | Gold sandals – Merona (Target)
2. Black jumpsuit – Mossimo (Target) | Simple gold bar necklace | Black sandals – Sanuk

4. Black dress – Rachel Roy (Macy’s) | Black flats – Target | Black leather clutch – Madewell | Necklace – a boutique find
When I wasn’t in swimwear, I mostly wore rompers or high-waisted skirts. I’ve warmed up to crop tops in a tasteful way—just a sliver of skin can feel summery without being too revealing. I also picked up my first sun hat in St. Maarten, which was a lifesaver on hot days.
